Membership

Membership of the club is open to the whole community either as full playing members or as social members who do not wish to bowl outside on the green but wish to use the facilities and take part in shortmat bowling.

New members are very welcome, but you don’t have to be a member to experience the sport of  bowls. If you’ve never played and would like to try, contact the Club by phone, email or the contact page to arrange a time to visit and try the game out. You don’t need any equipment, just bring flat-soled shoes or trainers. We will provide the bowls and some coaching to get you started. 

To join the Club you will need to complete an application form which requires a proposer and seconder from the current membership. This will be put before the Management Committee for acceptance or refusal. You can contact the Club for further assistance via our contact page.

Full membership entitles you to play at all times that the green is open and in any league teams. Social membership allows you to use all the Club’s facilities except the bowling green but includes the use of the indoor short mats. 

Membership Subscriptions 2025

Playing Member                                        £75.00

New Members Adult 1st year                    50% of Playing Member

Non-playing Member                                 £22.00

Junior Member                                          20% of Playing Member
(Under 18 in full time education)

Subscription is due on 1 March each year.

Anyone joining after the 1st July pays half the subscription fee.
